R-Town Podcast Extraordinaire - The Show For Gen X Nerdiness.

Charles Bressler in Downtown Renton

Mike Moskowitz in a pensive moment.

Jeffrey Lawrence is the owner, Cedar Stream Studios & Whistle Stop Ale House as well as the producer for R-Town Podcast.

Born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in Burien, I’ve always been drawn to the heart of community storytelling. As a proud father of four—Georgia, Benjamin, Maxwell, and Virginia—family is at the core of everything I do.

I am honored to be part of the R-Town Podcast, working alongside Mike and Charles to bring compelling stories to life. As a member of the R-Town Network, we tape every Thursday and release every Monday on all major podcast platforms. It’s an exciting journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented individuals.

Beyond podcasting, I’m the owner of Cedar Stream Studios, home to Jet City Live and a dynamic creative space in the heart of Renton. Designed for versatility, Cedar Stream Studios serves as a TikTok Shop hub, as well as a rental space for photographers, podcasters, yoga instructors, meetings, and events—offering a central location where creativity and collaboration thrive.

I also own Whistle Stop Ale House, a Renton institution that has been a cornerstone of the community for nearly three decades. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary on March 13, 2025, continuing our mission of providing a welcoming space where neighbors become friends over great food and conversation.

A fierce champion of Renton, Washington, I take pride in calling this city home. While I’ve spent much of my career behind the camera, crafting stories and capturing moments, I now look forward to the opportunities ahead with R-Town Network and Cedar Stream Studios. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me on the golf course with friends, enjoying a game of pickleball, or savoring a really good cheeseburger.

Let’s connect and collaborate on something great.

Charles Bressler loves games.  Not head games, but down to earth, sit around the table and communicate games.  And, to talk. About whatever.

Podcasting and video production are quickly becoming obsessions, but don’t tell his therapist, they won’t understand. He’s working on his new love R-Town Presents, dramatic radio plays, such as the Star Wars Holiday Parody completed at the end of ‘23, The Very Smurfy Smurfsmas in ‘24, and the continuing saga of Hot Rodders of the Apocalypse.

Photography is another of his passions and he can often be found taking pictures of random things. He is working on a project of his father’s photos right now, coming soon!

He grew up in Seattle's diverse Capitol Hill neighborhood which, for better or worse, has exposed him to people...a lot of people.  He has called Renton home for the last twenty or so years and loves the community. He spent several years on the board of the Renton Civic Theatre where he guided the remodel of the lobby and the rebuilding of the historic marquee.

Some years back he started a board gaming company with a buddy and created two card games, an adult party game called Soup2Nuts and a kid friendly pet matching game called ComPetAbility.

He has a fabulous and creative wife; a brilliant and successful son; a happy, talented, and funny daughter; and a very cool daughter-in-law.  They, along with three bed-hogging dogs, make up his support group.

Check out his board gaming company and other work at DunceCapGames.com and DCGTV on YouTube at @duncecapgames7345.

The man himself, “Mayor” Mike, has lived in and around the great City of Renton all his life. So long, in fact, he knows everybody there. That’s we we’ve dubbed him the Mayor. He’s had a few successful businesses around town, too.

Mike brings his love of learning and wonderful views on life to the podcast. He’s a talented guy who plays guitar, makes great coffee, and can build stuff.

When not working with his hands (building things) or his mouth (podcasting), you’ll usually find him enjoying live music, riding his bike or chilling with his wonderful mate, and his cats.

To all his stalkers out there…just stop it!
